In the first seven years of their relationship with BBH, Johnnie Walker saw incremental growth of $2.2Bn and doubled the number of cases sold. I was Creative director for three of those years. During that time we collected many global awards for effectiveness and creativity, and helped the brand to evolve from a broadcast-led model to a socially-forward approach.

This is the first ad I wrote for Johnnie Walker, when John Hegarty was still the creative director on the account. He named it as one of his favourite ads of all time in his acceptance speech for ‘The Lion of St Mark’ lifetime achievement award at Cannes.
